Welcome to my crazy world

Hello and welcome to my blog.

For the purposes of this blog my name is Kat.  I am a divorced almost 50 mum of 3 (live) children. I am a lawyer (let’s not focus on that). I have suspected undiagnosed hyperactive ADHD which means I don’t like to sit still. I also have a dickhead ex husband – but who doesn’t? I like to think I am unique but I suspect there are thousands of women out there who are just like me.

I am currently lying on my sofa recovering from a full abdominal hysterectomy.  As you can probably imagine, hyperactive ADHD and recovery go together like chalk and cheese.

I was tempted to go back to work instantly to curb the boredom but my partner hid my laptop – smart move except he forgot I get my emails on my phone!

“What can I do to pass the days?” “Write a Blog” he suggests, “Write a blog on your ridiculous life” and ….so here we go….Welcome to my crazy world.

Generally, ridiculous things happen to me quite frequently – definitely more frequently than the average person. I like to blame it on the fact I am always so busy but it could be the ADHD (we will come on to that in another post) and the fact that even though I pride myself on multitasking, I never do anything quite properly or fully which results in an element of chaos to my every day life. This generally amuses others more than me. My partner has been calling my daily disasters my “Bazblogz” stories for years now and so now I have some time, I decided to see if my stories will amuse anyone else too.

I suspect and hope that my life will be a bit less ridiculous currently as I am spending most of my days lying on the sofa and yet, ridiculous things still keep happening to me.  For example, last night a chocolate brownie came flying across my lounge and landed on my stomach, just above my scar.  No it didn’t hurt and no, it didn’t injure me but it was irritating as hell.  My kids seem to be just as ridiculous as me. I mean who throws a chocolate brownie across the lounge when their mum has just had abdominal surgery to their sister who is “too tired” to move 30cm to the coffee table. To a sister to lazy to move but who happily does 2 or 3 sports clubs a day.

As you can imagine, this all ended up in shouting, me getting disproportionately angry, kids crying and then me feeling guilty for losing my cool (they are kids after all!). Anyone resonate with this insight to my crazy world?

Ps ignore the outfits – I am “recuperating” – I am allowed a strong look if it is comfy!
